The Legal Cooperation Cluster (LCC) enthusiastically joins the National Secretariat of the NTF-ELCAC in saluting the Filipino people for a successful 2025 Mid-Term Elections which garnered the highest voter-turnout for midterm polls in history.
A testament to the success of the efforts of the NTF-ELCAC and its partner former-rebels, to unmask the real identities of supposedly “progressive” groups which are actually affiliated or connected with the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF), the recent official tally of the Commission on Elections for Party-List votes, shows that only two of the incumbent “Makabayan” Bloc Party-Lists, the Alliance of Concerned Teachers Party-List and Kabataan Party-List, have slimly managed to secure a seat in the next Congress, with Gabriela Party-List and Bayan Muna Party-List miserably rejected by the enlightened electorate. The Filipino people have finally awakened from the deceptive manipulation of these groups.
Amid the celebratory spirit that reflects another triumph of Philippine democracy, the LCC takes exception to the never-ending script of the “Makabayan” Bloc which persistently paint themselves as alleged victims of “red tagging.”
Time and again, the LCC emphasizes that there is no government policy of “red tagging” and in fact, it is their former comrades who are courageously taking up the cudgels to expose the real identities and affiliations of these groups which are bent on implementing their “duplicitous tactics” aimed at destroying the democratic Philippine government. Gone are the days when these groups could misleadingly portray themselves as the “genuine opposition,” who, in reality are merely exploiting and brainwashing the very sectors which they falsely claim to represent.
Indeed, the recent polls show that Filipinos, in the exercise of their sacred right to suffrage, are now choosing to side with the truth and reject lie-bounden propaganda whose ultimate aim is to undermine Philippine democracy.
Again, the LCC congratulates the Filipino people and wishes to express its appreciation to the COMELEC, the thousands of personnel from the Department of Education, the Philippine National Police, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, all the other government agencies and officers, as well as all well-meaning organizations, which earnestly contributed to the success of the 2025 Mid-Term Elections.
